En el Centro de FIV del Norte de Chipre, esta opci\u00f3n se ofrece a dos grupos de pacientes:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"blog-content\">\n<div class=\"paragraph\">1- Parejas que quisieran seleccionar el sexo de su hijo debido a una predisposici\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica conocida a una condici\u00f3n ligada al sexo (ligada al X). Las enfermedades ligadas al cromosoma X son trastornos de un solo gen que apuntan a la presencia de mutaciones gen\u00e9ticas o defectos gen\u00e9ticos en el cromosoma X. Dado que los hombres s\u00f3lo adquieren una copia del cromosoma X de la madre, s\u00f3lo un alelo mutado es suficiente para causar una enfermedad ligada al sexo en los hombres. Esto sugiere que los hombres son m\u00e1s propensos a la mayor\u00eda de las enfermedades ligadas al cromosoma X en comparaci\u00f3n con las mujeres.2- Parejas que ya tienen hijos y les gustar\u00eda equilibrar su familia teniendo otro hijo del sexo opuesto. Este grupo de pacientes no suele tener problemas de fertilidad y puede tener hijos sanos mediante m\u00e9todos de concepci\u00f3n natural. Sin embargo, es posible que la concepci\u00f3n natural no siempre produzca una descendencia \u201cequilibrada\u201d, por lo que entran en juego las tecnolog\u00edas de reproducci\u00f3n asistida.<\/p>\n<p>Independientemente de su razonamiento, la selecci\u00f3n de g\u00e9nero se puede ofrecer legalmente en el Centro de FIV del Norte de Chipre a ambos grupos de pacientes. Hay dos m\u00e9todos alternativos en la pr\u00e1ctica en el Centro de FIV del Norte de Chipre con respecto a la selecci\u00f3n de sexo. Es decir, se trata de la detecci\u00f3n\/diagn\u00f3stico gen\u00e9tico previo a la implantaci\u00f3n (PGS\/PGD) y MicroSort.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1- Cribado Gen\u00e9tico Preimplantacional \/ Diagn\u00f3stico Gen\u00e9tico Preimplantacional<\/strong><br \/>\nEl PGD (Diagn\u00f3stico Gen\u00e9tico Preimplantacional) se refiere a la selecci\u00f3n de embriones como respuesta a un trastorno gen\u00e9tico conocido que se presenta en la familia, por lo tanto, se aplica \u00fanicamente con fines de prevenci\u00f3n de enfermedades gen\u00e9ticas. PGS (Pre-implantation Genetic Screening), por otro lado, se refiere a aplicar exactamente el mismo m\u00e9todo de selecci\u00f3n de embriones en los casos en los que no existe un trastorno gen\u00e9tico conocido en la pareja masculina o femenina. PGS es el t\u00e9rmino correcto que se usa cuando la tecnolog\u00eda se usa para evaluar los embriones para identificar su sexo (conocido como selecci\u00f3n de sexo\/g\u00e9nero)<\/p>\n<p>La t\u00e9cnica PGD\/PGS se utiliza como parte de un tratamiento de FIV. La paciente debe someterse a un tratamiento de FIV para que podamos obtener sus \u00f3vulos (o tambi\u00e9n se pueden utilizar \u00f3vulos de donante en los casos en que la paciente no pueda utilizar sus propios \u00f3vulos). Los \u00f3vulos obtenidos se fecundan con la muestra de semen de la pareja masculina y se crean los embriones. Una vez que los embriones alcanzan una cierta etapa de desarrollo, se les realiza una biopsia para que se pueda realizar una evaluaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica y se pueda revelar el sexo de cada embri\u00f3n en consecuencia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2- Microclasificaci\u00f3n <\/strong><br \/>\nNorth Cyprus IVF Center es la \u00fanica cl\u00ednica oficial que ofrece MicroSort en Europa, Medio Oriente, Asia y \u00c1frica. MicroSort es un m\u00e9todo de clasificaci\u00f3n de esperma que nos permite clasificar una muestra de esperma en c\u00e9lulas portadoras de X (femenino) e Y (masculino). De esa manera, al clasificar una muestra de esperma en dos lotes, sabemos qu\u00e9 lote de esperma tiene la capacidad de producir un ni\u00f1o var\u00f3n y cu\u00e1l puede producir una ni\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, la tecnolog\u00eda MicroSort no es tan precisa como el m\u00e9todo PGS descrito anteriormente. Solo tiene una precisi\u00f3n de 75% para seleccionar celdas con cojinete Y y una precisi\u00f3n de aproximadamente 85% para seleccionar celdas con cojinete X. En otras palabras, si opta por usar la t\u00e9cnica MicroSort solo sin la t\u00e9cnica PGS, existe la posibilidad de que el sexo de su hijo no se seleccione con precisi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>La tecnolog\u00eda MicroSort tambi\u00e9n tiene ciertos requisitos. La muestra de semen de la pareja masculina debe contener un m\u00ednimo de 70 millones de espermatozoides m\u00f3viles totales en la eyaculaci\u00f3n para que se pueda utilizar el equipo de clasificaci\u00f3n.
