Las pacientes mayores de 35 a\u00f1os comienzan a sufrir una fuerte disminuci\u00f3n de la funci\u00f3n ov\u00e1rica y esta disminuci\u00f3n se vuelve mucho m\u00e1s aguda despu\u00e9s de los 40 a\u00f1os. Durante las \u00faltimas dos d\u00e9cadas, hemos sido testigos de la introducci\u00f3n de varios &quot;m\u00e9todos&quot; y &quot;estrategias&quot; nuevos en un intentar aumentar las tasas de embarazo en pacientes mayores de 40 a\u00f1os. Si bien algunos de estos m\u00e9todos contribuyen al \u00e9xito, otros parecen no tener un efecto significativo.<\/p>\n<p>Una de las modificaciones prometedoras de los tratamientos de FIV fue el uso de la hormona del crecimiento humano (HGH) como parte de un r\u00e9gimen de medicamentos para la FIV. Si bien la industria ten\u00eda grandes esperanzas en el impacto de la HGH en los resultados de la FIV, los resultados iniciales fueron bastante decepcionantes. Despu\u00e9s de una serie de ajustes de dosis y muchos otros intentos, los resultados a\u00fan no fueron tan buenos como los que los cient\u00edficos hab\u00edan planeado originalmente.<\/p>\n<p>En teor\u00eda, la hormona del crecimiento deber\u00eda contribuir positivamente a los resultados de la FIV en t\u00e9rminos de calidad y recuento de ovocitos.
