This year, the second annual "Embryology and IVF Practice" course will run between September 19-26, 2015.
The "Embryology and IVF Practice Course" is a short term certificate program which has been designed to provide a solid understanding of human clinical embryology and ART (assisted reproductive technology) practice with an emphasis of related literature and lab practice. Students will gain a systematic understanding of clinical embryology and IVF protocols/procedures whilst acquiring basic laboratory skills in various aspects of clinical embryology and ART. With the skills acquired during the one week course, students will be able to further develop their skills become and integral part of IVF practice.
The emphasis of the course is on humans and clinical embryology and IVF protocols. The short-term course offers practical experience in handling and preparing human oocytes/sperm and creating embryos. The components of the course include:
-Ovulation Induction Lecture Observation of cases in theater
-Pre-Implantation Genetic Screening and Pre-Implantation Genetic Diagnosis Lecture Lab Practical
-Oocyte and Embryo Vitrification Lecture Lab Practical
Each candidate will receive a booklet for the lectures, including lecture notes and power point presentations for the laboratory work. These booklets will not only cover the lecture material, but will also act as a reference for your further studies. Apart from lecture notes, these booklets will also provide you with a list of recommended readings and online access to all the articles in the reading list for you to access. This course is a short-term course aiming to acquaint you with the concepts in embryology and IVF procedures. You will be expected to gain an understanding of these concepts and obtain practical knowledge on which you can build a career in the field. You should know that the certificate that you will obtain from our hospital will serve as a reference of what skills you have acquired in the field of IVF but will not act as a diploma. This course is more for people who are already in the profession and would like to acquire theoretical and applied knowledge in clinical embryology and IVF practice to integrate themselves s into the profession.

Course Fee The fee for this course is 2,000 Euros. It includes the one week intensive training program as well as your accommodation at the Golden Tulip Hotel, a welcome reception and a farewell dinner prior to leaving.
